Our Story
Kimbo was created from a real problem I was facing—and became the solution to it.
After graduating from university, I struggled to find work in engineering. I applied to 22 companies with no success and eventually took a job as a waiter. Still searching for a way forward, I asked my boss for a chance in the kitchen and was offered a trainee chef position.
That’s where the problem began. Blunt knives slowed everything down. Poor cutting surfaces meant knives dulled instantly, and sharpening them never restored their edge.
Using my engineering mindset, I spent months testing and refining a solution. The result was the Kimbo Knife Sharpener.
Today, Kimbo is proud to be Australia’s trusted knife sharpener, with over 100,000 units sold.
